NURSERY
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
Nursery Director: Pat Snyder
Nursery Assistant: Nita Scheungrab
Ages: Infants and Toddlers, through age 4 years

Grace Chapel Nursery Ministry will begin laying the foundation of Jesus Christ in the blessed hope that these children will one day respond to God’s call. The nursery volunteers provide a safe, healthy, and secure environment where infants and toddlers are given loving care. We change diapers, feed bottles, and rock the babies. For toddlers, we let them play, read Bible stories, sing songs of praise, and speak God’s name.
Parents/Custodians: We ask parents to fill out a directory card giving parents’ and child’s names, address, and phone number; along with any special care the child may require, such as potty training. As snacks will be given to the children, we will need to know about any allergies as well. For infants, please bring a diaper bag with bottle, diapers, change of clothing, etc. so we can keep the babies comfortable. There is a private area suitable for breastfeeding if needed. For the safety of the other children and volunteers, please do not bring a child who is not feeling well or is running a fever. We ask parents to pick up the children immediately after the close of the worship service.
Volunteers: It takes many volunteers to operate the nursery. Of course, we pray the parents of the children who attend nursery will become volunteers as well from time to time, to care for the youngest of the Church Congregation. To get involved, just pick the dates you can volunteer, and show up at the nursery 15 minutes before the Sunday worship service, and care for the children until the worship service is over. A quarterly schedule sign-up sheet to volunteer is located on the table just outside of the sanctuary. New volunteers will be assisted by the Nursery Director or Nursery Assistant the first time volunteering. Due to the number of children, we currently need two adults and a teen in the nursery each Sunday.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Kids 4 Christ (Sundays, 9:30 am)
Teachers: Tabatha Griffin and Jennifer Boarman
Grades: 1-5
Children’s Church (Sundays, 10:30 am)
Director: Kurt Talbert
Ages: 5-9 years
Children’s Church ministers to children during the Sunday worship service. Children attend the first part of the worship service in the sanctuary with their parents, then are dismissed to our classroom, where we have a Bible lesson and work on puzzles and coloring pages related to the lesson. We ask parents to pick up the children immediately after the close of the worship service.
LIVE WIRE
Leaders: David and Michele Roberts, Bill and Ann Hardman
Grades: 6-12
Live Wire is equipping youth in grades 6th through 12th for the challenges they face each and every day. Join us on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and Sunday mornings at 9:30 am as we tap into the power we have in God’s Word and His indwelling Spirit. Caution, your lives will be changed!
AXIOS
Young Adults, ages 18-25
You are invited to join a group of your peers as we address issues and topics relevant to those who are in college, working full-time, or both. This is the time we step out of our teenage years and into adulthood. As our freedom increases, so does our responsibilities. How we handle this transition to adulthood will impact and often establish the direction we take for the rest of our lives.
What is “Axios”? It is a Greek word that means “worthy”, and that will be the focus of our group as we realize three key principles:
1) You have worth in God’s sight demonstrated by the sacrifice of Jesus.
2) Your actions are worthy if aligned with God’s will and done in faith.
3) Ultimately, God is worthy of all our praise, devotion, and life.
Join us on Tuesday evenings from 8:00 to 10:00 pm in the upper room.
PRAISE TEAM
Worship Leader: David Roberts

Our Praise Team consists of various talented singers and musicians, leading us in worship during our Sunday “contemporary” services. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm.
LENDING LIBRARY
The Lending Library is located right across the hall from the church office. We have a wonderful selection of books and videos including Fiction, Biographies, Christian Living, Ministry, Prophecy, Commentaries, Children, and more! The library is “self-service”; please record the items you borrow in the notebook provided, and place them on the “Returns” shelf when you are finished. Thank you!
